Introduction to the Coffee Shop Millionaire(CSM)
There are several different strategies within the Coffee Shop Millionaire. The first is teaching someone(and I use the word teaching very lightly here) how to become self-employed by doing contract jobs for small business owners in the realm of internet marketing.
The second strategy is what CSM calls the “21k System” and “Million Dollar Launch Secrets.” But unfortunately none of the training videos worked. More on this below.
The main idea behind the third strategy called, Six Figure Secrets Club, is to learn how to buy the rights of a certain product and then to market that product as your own. By doing so, you get to keep all of the profits. CSM does provide about 10 different products, or what they call “Cash Machines,” that they give their members the rights to use, edit, and sell them for 100% of the profit.
So I decided to buy the monthly membership, the upgrade “Six Figure Secrets Club,” and the Email Coaching package so that I could use it personally to see if this cup of coffee is truly worth sipping….read below to see what I found.
What are the Pros and Cons?
- a very low monthly fee to get started
- offered through ClickBank so it comes with a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee
- They do provide Power Point training if you don’t want to listen through the videos
- There are some great nuggets and ideas on how to go from employee, to self-employed, to business owner
- I paid for 3 different products upfront and it took me 5 days to even get access to the site!
- Only every other Video Training or so actually worked, I would receive an error on my first 2 “Getting Started” videos!!!
- Training is very, very, did I say very, vague(more on this below)
- You will need to call people
- You will need to negotiate pricing
- It tells you what to do, not shows you what to do, more on this below
Who is Coffee Shop Millionaire for?
If you are a new to business, new to e-commerce, email marketing, website creation, landing pages, basically all things internet marketing than this is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU!
If you don’t want to talk with people over the phone or face to face, then this is DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU!
If you are looking hands on, step by step, training, then this DEFINITELY NOT FOR YOU!
So who is it for then.
It is for the person that already has an intermediate level of internet marketing experience and looking for different strategies to provide other streams of income.
It is for the person that still has a job and is making some money online, but can’t quite bridge the gap, income wise, to make the shift to full time internet marketer.
Coffee Shop Millioniare is for the person that has a desire to be an Internet Marketing Consultant with individuals and small business owners. And of course, as your skills grow, a consultant to medium and large size businesses as well.
Coffee Shop Millionaire has some great nuggets and ideas, but no real training on the “how to” implement the strategies talked about. Like I mentioned above in the Cons, CSM tells you what to do, but doesn’t show you how to do it.
It’s not very comforting when you get the error messgage shown to the right, on your 1st – Getting Started video!
Fortunately, they do provide power point slides for almost all of the trainings so if the video is not working you can at least view the slides, which I had no problem pulling up. By the way, most of the training videos are just the power point slides with someone reading it word for word to you. They are not, I repeat, are not videos that provide step by step training.
They do have about 18 BONUS videos that all gave me error messages, and they did not come with slides, so I was unable to view any of them. Again, not comforting and you start feeling like you may have overpaid for the training.
One thing CSM does provide below each training vidoes are links to resources that are relevant to that video like where to go to learn more about building a website, about autoresponders, voice broadcasting service, postcard mailing service, data storage back up, how to outsource you article writing, graphic design, and much more. Although this is nice to have it doesn’t make up for the subpar video trainings, half of which didn’t even work.
CSM also provides Action Journals throughout the 14 Getting Started courses. Each video training module has tasks for the members to complete. The Action Journals compliment the training by having task oriented items to complete.
All in all, while their was some valuable take aways for myself, I was not too impressed with their training.
What Kind of Support Can I Expect From CSM?
Look, I am not going to sugar coat it. Coffee Shop Millionaire really offers limited support and supervision. The day I bought CSM and the 2 upgrades I mentioned above, I was supposed to be sent an email with my password to get in.
It’s funny, I got 3 emails for my confirmation of payment right away, but I did not receive one email for my password to get in. I emailed their support and 5 days later, finally got an email back so I could log in. This is obvisouly a bad way to start any relationship.
I also emailed support about the error messages I was receiving on half of their training videos.
I also emailed my “coach.” Since I purchase the Email Coaching program, I thought I would put it to good use and test it out. Well, tomorrow will be one full week that I sent out an email to my so called coach and I have yet to recieve an email back, not even an auto reply saying, “I will be in touch.” After paying $197 for this service, all I can say is I am disappointed!
There is no telephone support either so don’t hold you breath there.
Here is what really got me. Literally one of the Videos says on a Power Point slide, and I quote,
“Google or YouTube any important questions and you will likely find an answer.” (From the Six Figure Secrets Club Welcome Video)
By the way I had to pay an extra $297 to get access to this! lol I thought that was why I was paying this amount was because it, Coffee Shop Millionaire, had the answers! I couldn’t help but laugh because it was just ridiculous.
I was very dissatisfied to say the least about the Support, or lack thereof, that the Coffee Shop Millioniare provides.
How Much Does Coffee Shop Millionaire Cost?
- Basic Membership – $37/mo(you can get your first month for $27)
- Six Figure Secrets Club and the 10 Cash Machines – $297 1x
- Email Coaching – $197 1x
- Done for you, built out website – $13.95/mo billed 6 months at a time. CSM claims the website is free(based on the image below) but once you click on it, you find out very quickly, it is not free
When it says FREE and then you click on it and there is no FREE option, that is what I call a bait and switch. This does not leave a warm and fuzzy feeling for me.
My Final Opinion: So What Do I Do Now?
I’m not going to lie, there were a few take aways from this program that I will be looking into but all in all, I was dissatisfied….more like let down.
If you are an above average internet marketer and looking for other strategies to make money online then I would give it a try. Now that being said, I would only do the $37/mo membership. Remember, this product is through ClickBank, which comes with a 60 Day Money Back Guarantee. I have bought many products through ClickBank and they are very solid and quick to refund your money if needed.
If you are new to internet marketing, just beginning, and trying to figure out if this industry is even for you, then I recommend you give Wealthy Affiliate a try. They have a FREE starter membership, fantastic, step by step training, and a very active and knowledgeable community willing to help those who ask.
