What is an Online Marketing Tool? What Tool do I Use???
When I first started on my journey in this New Frontier, Online Marketing, this is one area that was very, very confusing for me.
At the beginning, it was very difficult to figure out what was part of the “system” vs. What was a “tool.”
Let me explain it this way using a farmer as an example. To plant crops the farmer first has to till and plow the soil.
So here, the first step in the farmers system is tilling and plowing the soil.
Now he could choose to do it with his hands, although this would likely be time consuming and mostly ineffective.
What does the farmer do? He chooses a “tool” to complete the step in the “system.” But the list of tools vary based on the size of the field and the farmers budget for purchasing those tools.
For example, he could use a hoe, strap a plow to an ox, buy a tractor and attach a plow, or he could even attach up to 3 plows depending on the size of the field!
Just like the above example with the farmer, the same is true for making money online. Once you have figured out the system, the confusing part is choosing the right Online Marketing Tools to complete the step in the system.
When Does utilizing an Online Marketing Tool make sense?
Depending on the size of your field(your daily leads created), and your budget, this will determine what tools are right for the job. If you are just getting started and have only a couple of leads a week, a basic email account may work for now, but as this builds up, or you may want to take your self completely out of this step, then you will need an autoresponder.
If you don’t know what an autoresponder is, don’t worry that’s what this page is all about. On this page you will find:
- The name and brands/companies that offer the tool
- What step in the system is this tool utilized
- Cost associated with the tool, if any and;
- At what point in your business do you need that tool
One of the first tools you will need in the system is a Content Management System(CMS) so you can build a website and create a blog. Wordpress is the most user-friendly CMS I have used. Click here to learn more about to WordPress and how you can start building a website for free!
